Slightly slacker head angle, coil compatibility plus a host of refinements come along for the ride on the new Ibis Ripmo 2.
With 29" wheels and tire clearance up to 2.6", Ripmo 2 bumps up a couple mils to 147mm rear while staying with 160mm front travel. the head angle gets a little slacker by 1º (now 64.9º) and the bike gets a little longer, adding a few millimeters of reach.
Rear suspension is still perfectly handled by the efficient DW-Link setup with V5 kinematics, and a touch more progressive end rate has been added to eliminate bottom out for you hard chargers. New linkage guards help protect the linkages from contamination.
Small bump performance has been improved even more, eliminating trail chatter.
Ripmo's svelte feel on climbs is still there -- this is a bike that while prepared for sucking up big hits going down is very nimble and surprisingly light feeling on the climbs. This partially thanks to an amazingly light frame weight of just 6.3lbs (w/DPX2 shock).
In stock at Sunshine plus shipping now in 6 builds starting at $4,099 and in 2 new colors (Zap Blue and Star Destroyer Gray).
