For your child over 10 years old standing about 4'7"-5'2" with an inseam from 22-26", the 24" wheel size is an appropriate fit. At this level we also find a choice of bikes with one-speed gearing as well as bikes with shifting.
For your child 2'8"-3'3" with an inseam from 12-16", a 12" wheel size generally works best. For just learning to ride, choose from bikes with pedals or balance bikes.
For your child 4-6 years old standing about 3'5"-4'0" with an inseam from 16-21", the 16" wheel size is a generally great fit.
For your child 5-8 years old standing about 3'11"-4'3" with an inseam from 20-23", the 20" wheel size is an appropriate fit. At this level we get into choices of singlespeed or gears.
For your child 7-11 years old standing about 4'2"-4'8" with an inseam from 22-26", the 24" wheel size is an appropriate fit. At this level we get into choices of singlespeed or gears.
