With a slacker-than-XC geometry and massive tire clearance, the new Ibis DV9 is versatile enough for training Friday, racing Saturday, and getting loose on Sunday.
And the best part? The 1,204 gram full-carbon frame goes for $999. That’s roughly $250 more than a comparable aluminum frame.
The new Ibis DV9 was inspired by the high school racing daughter of Ibis CEO Hans Heim. NICA racer Lili Heim was in mind when the idea for a hardtail came up that was versatile enough for race day, would devour singletrack, handily explore backcountry, and affordable enough to be paid for with a summer job.
